I can’t believe how fast time flew between May 2009 and this last weekend. Seems to me like we were just at the engagement party thinking the day would never come, but it did come quicker than we all thought and it was everything we dreamed it would be. My favorite part of the entire weekend was seeing family that we only see on facebook because we live so far apart. Our cousins from New Jersey came, family and friends from Trinidad, and it was a great reason to come together and celebrate.
The weekend started off with the bachelorette party on Friday which was super fun. I’m not much of a club person, but where we went was fun and we all had a lot of laughs. Saturday was a barrage of family dinners, rehearsals, and get-togethers. It amped us up for the big day which was nothing short of perfect. I loved getting dolled up and having a reason to wear my Sunday best! Everybody looked great, and Marsha was stunning. The dress was beautiful and her hair was perfect, the bridesmaids’ dresses were an unforgettable shade of red and Nicholas looked dapper in his all black suit.
It was our aunt who officiated the ceremony and my mom brought to light the sentimental fact that our aunt’s husband married Marsha’s parents, and now she married their daughter. Everybody danced galore because the music was great. I can’t think of one bad thing about this weekend because it was truly one to remember.
