Her First Haircut

Night of Joy

This weekend Johann, Lee, Lauryn & I went to see Casting Crowns in concert with For King & Country AND Laura Story!! What an amazing, amazing show it was. I can't even describe it, but when we left we were all flying high off Jesus juice! The singers were amazing, the acoustics, the songs...all inspiring. The icing on the cake was the fact that the lead singer for King & Country was on like boil corn! Lauryn stood in line to get a picture with him and hasn't stopped swooning! Sexy AND loves Jesus!!!! A night I'll never forget.

Love Like Dove

As it is known and never questioned that the sun rises in the east and sets in the west, it is know and never questioned in our family that Lee is Adriana's favorite person. We all have a favorite person in this world and yes, even at 2 you can have a favorite person. It's undisputed. The only disputable fact is who is her second favorite! I don't know what Lee has over this girl but she loves him like no other. When she sees him, it's all over for whoever had her attention before. It's easier to surrender than to fight it. She reaches for him, she squirms out of your arms until he's holding her. She would never see me sitting down and come climb on top of me...but will unsolicitely climb in his lap. She would never see me and come with her hands raised for a pick-up...but will stand there until her arms burn for Lee to pick her up. If by some chance I do pick her up and set her down she gladly goes running...if Lee tries to put her downs she crosses her legs and clings to his neck. I could watch the both of them for hours on end play with eachother. The only logical explanation we have for it is that she loves Lee's height and loves being held so high. Lately, she's been kissing him and it's the cutest thing ever. Everytime he puckers up and asks for a kiss she would grab his cheek and plant him one. Me? I have to beg over and over for a kiss! Marsha says green isn't my color but it's not fair! I love her the most!

Happy Sweet 2nd Birthday

Yes. I'm gonna say it again...I can't believe she's two. I really can't. Makes me sad that so much time has gone by already. Just the other day I went to see Marsha in the hospital and I held her for the first time. Now she doesn't even like to be held. So independent. So funny. So cute. Her birthday theme was Sofia the First, one of her favorite cartoons. My sweet child is two and soon she'll be twenty-two but that won't change how much I love her.
