The Details

Dear Adriana Carly,

I wanted to make note of the day you were born because I know time would fly by and soon enough you'll be giving me chats and it would only seem like yesterday you came into this world. I was laying in bed at 6:30 a.m. wondering what happened during the night. Then my phone bings, and it took me a second to realise it was a incoming text message and not my usual alarm. Your mother sent me a picture. Did she not remember I have an archaic phone and can't receive pics? Ugh, how dare she forget. So I text her back saying to email me the picture but she didn't reply. I assumed it was a picture of my new niece. My first niece actually. Well, second cousin..but we don't need to get technical.

So I brushed my teeth and called your grandmother who is usually up at the butt crack of dawn. She confirmed that you did appear and was doing well. She forwarded me a picture and I checked you out on my computer. You looked like a normal newborn. All red n puffy so I couldn't check you out right. I was going to pick your grandmother up and head down to the hospital but she said that your mother would have been tired and needed rest. So off to the hell hole I went.

I knew I was going to leave work early to come visit. I knew I was in for some cuteness...but dang...not THAT much cuteness! I'm not even being biased. You're the cutest newborn I've ever seen. I held you and then you started to spit up and make gagging sounds. Naturally I dropped you on the head (haha just joking), no I passed you off to your grandmother who made you burp like asap. The nurses came in to show your mom how to breastfeed and you did good. lil sucker you. Anyway, I left after 3 hours and I probably won't see you till the weekend. I don't want to be all up in your mother's grill when she gets home. I'll bring Lauryn, Leeana and Uncle Lee to see you Saturday. Hopefully, you make Lee feel to have 4 of you! Eh!? Anywho, I'll be documenting your life sporadically on this blog because your mother refuses to get a blog of her own.
