It's true. Me. Live on a ranch. Me. Hater and scorner of all things non-human. I don't know what it is. Maybe I'm reading too much of Pioneer Woman's blogs. She's my hero. Lives in Oaklahoma, on a HUGE grand ranch in a gorgeous ranch house, green as far as the eye can see, hunky husband, 4 home schooled kids, great photographer, excellent cook. What else can one want in life?
Maybe it's because I was raised on sort of a ranch. More like a farm. Fresh air, fresh fruit, adventures in the river, solitude, nature. Maybe it's because I live in this cookie cutter house now where I can't bear the thought of my children being raised in a cul-de-sac. They need room, land to roam, trees to climb.. a place where I don't have to worry about pedofiles and them being hit by a car outside the front door.
Lee has the same desire to get out into the country with more room and our own unique house. But he says Oaklahoma's too cold. Wuss.

OMG V and me too! It is our dream. Yes and I look at Pioneer Woman and get jelly!
ReplyDeletePioneer Woman is living the dream life we all want!!!! I do agree with you regarding living in a cookie cutter house raising kids and needing space to roam. Did you see her Chopped Salad recipe....mmmmmmmmm
